TURKISH DRIED APRICOTS

Dried apricots are a type of traditional dried fruit. When treated with sulfur dioxide, the color is vivid orange. Organic fruit not treated with sulfur vapor is darker in color and has a coarser texture. Generally, the lighter the color, the higher the SO₂ content.

SUN DRIED TOMATOES

Sun-dried tomatoes are ripe tomatoes that lose most of their water content after spending a majority of their drying time in the sun. These tomatoes are usually pre-treated with sulfur dioxide or salt before being placed in the sun in order to improve quality.
